I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
